Fastpitch Forever Scholarship
We at Cowart Sports Events believe very strongly in not only in the production of high quality events serving ALL types of athletes but the obligation to support the sport and the athletes who play which has given all of us so much and infinitely impacted our lives. In that spirit is why we are so proud to announce our CSE “Fastpitch Forever” College Scholarship.
We feel so strongly about the support of the athletes we serve that with the beginning to this new season which begins September 1, 2021 – $20.00 of each and EVERY entry fee will go to support and create these financial gifts for the athletes that play this game. A minimum of 2 2K scholarships will be awarded in June of 2022 at our 10th Annual Texas State Championship Event in College Station, TX. The beauty of this is the more teams that play with us each year – the more scholarships we can fund!
We at Cowart Sports Events all came from the athletic ranks and know what it takes to set a goal and the hard work it takes to achieve and see it through. We also know that each athlete is working hard to have opportunities to conquer the mountain of a college degree. We feel a strong obligation to help and aid in that process. While we cannot award a scholarship TO play softball – we can provide financial help BECAUSE you played softball in the form of a scholarship for student athletes to chase their dreams both academically and athletically. Our goal is to pay forward the life harvest of blessings that we have all been fortunate enough to reap.
We are choosing to earmark a portion of each and every entry fee to fund our scholarship program. All current or incoming high school Seniors are encouraged to apply. Again, awards will be announced and presented at our 10th Annual Texas State Championships and Southwest Regionals June of 2022.
We are proud to be able to give back to the game that has given so much to all of us and to have the privilege of paying it forward to the next generation to perpetuate the future of fastpitch softball!
Requirements to Apply:
- Participation in a Cowart Sports Events, Inc. event from the 2021 or 2022 season.
- Current or incoming high school senior.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher (weighted or unweighted)
- SAT score of over 1000 or over 20 on ACT
- Will not receive more than 15% of your total yearly tuition in the form of financial aid from the athletic department of your chosen college or university
- Create a 1000+ word essay on the topic – “How has playing the game of softball impacted your life? “
- Submit 2 letters of reference
