I have been playing softball for 45 years and it has been such a big part of my life!  Watching and playing the game over so many decades we have decided that it is time for a change!   Top gun Softball tournaments are designed first and foremost to enjoy this great sport!  So only great bats, great balls, and rules that keep the game going without requiring an accountant and a lawyer just to play!  Also – all of our events are budget friendly!  All tournaments are 4 game guarantee’s where every game requires a winner and include all umpire fees.  First games are always 9:00 AM!  Also – we believe in customer service and YOUR input – we WANT your feedback.   

I in no way mean ANY disrespect to all the existing sanctioning bodies as I still play and enjoy your events – I just think it is time for a competitive alternative that can be played by all.

Our signature power bracket is a 4 game guarantee format that contains NO POOL GAMES. It keeps equal competition together through “power” based match-ups and future match-ups. This gives all teams the ability to come and COMPETE at whatever experience level they play. It also eliminates the need for so called “equalizer” rules as well as team classifications.  Brand New team??? – Got something for that. Experienced and looking for the best competitive match-ups – we got that too! All games are regulation time limits and REQUIRE a winner. All out – All the time! Teams begin in the same bracket in shotgun style format seeded by points. Through the outgrowth of games played – teams maneuver themselves into 1 of 3 divisions – Elite, Premier, or Gold. While all teams are competitive, some are more experienced than others. The tournament continues through these divisions with teams facing opponents that look just like them. All teams find their competitive place and then set their sites on the prize!

All of our power bracket tournaments have real-time scoring and bracketing.  The event links are on our website and run the entire weekend.  

ANY BAT IS LEGAL FOR PLAY AS LONG AS IT IS STAMPED “OFFICIAL SOFTBALL” 

BALLS – ANY .47 CORE/.375 COMPRESSION BALL IS LEGAL (MUST HAVE CORE AND COMPRESSION STAMPED ON THE BALL AND VISIBLE)

Pitching – 6 to 11 ft. – no over the shoulder strikes.  Screen will be used and pitcher can field balls behind the 5′ line (5′ behind pitching plate)

3-2 count – no foul

5 innings or 50 minutes THEN Showdown Inning

Showdown Inning – team behind bats first. 

Tie-Breaker – Bases Loaded 1 out.  NO PROGRESSIVE INNINGS

WE AT COWART SPORTS EVENTS ARE VERY GRATEFUL THAT YOU AND YOUR FAMILY HAVE CHOSEN TO SPEND THE WEEKEND WITH US.  EACH PERSON IN ATTENDANCE OVER THE AGE OF 14 WILL PURCHASE A WEEKEND WRISTBAND UPON ENTRANCE TO THE COMPLEX.  THIS HELPS US DETERMINE WHO IS FRIEND OR FOE.  AS A “THANK YOU” FOR COMING WHEN PURCHASING THE WRISTBAND EACH PERSON WILL RECEIVE A TICKET THAT WILL ENTER THEM INTO OUR EVENT PRIZE PACKAGE DRAWING AT THE END OF THE WEEKEND.  PLAYERS CAN ALSO RECEIVE ADDITIONAL TICKETS THROUGH OUTSTANDING GAME PERFORMANCES LISTED BELOW.
